National Congress 2017 - Speaker Spotlight on UBER CEO, David Rohrsheim 15/02/2017

In April UDIA will welcome numerous high calibre international and Australian key note speakers to Perth, as we host the 2017 UDIA National Congress.  In the weeks leading up to Congress we will be shining the spotlight on some of our esteemed presenters.

This week we shine the spotlight on David Rohrsheim, CEO Uber Australia and New Zealand, who will be delivering a keynote presentation entitled The Uberfication of Everything. How Uber is changing the way the world moves. In his presentation David will talk about the future of ride-sharing and other disruptive technologies, Uber’s strategic plans and how the big data collected by Uber can be used to shape the planning of our cities and towns.

About David…

David Rohrsheim is the Chief Executive Officer for Uber in Australia and New Zealand.  He was born in Brisbane and grew up in Adelaide, where he studied at Adelaide University before moving to the US to live in Silicon Valley. In the US David studied at Stanford University Graduate School of Business receiving his MBA.  David is now based in Sydney. David is responsible for bringing the Uber experience to Australia and oversees everything from vehicle supply and demand, driver and customer relations, Uber partnerships, and growth. The company, which was founded in France in 2009, is now headquartered in San Francisco and since 2014 has rolled out to 377 cities around the world.
