Benefit from current market conditions and Build Now in WA 11/02/2017

Market conditions are ripe for those considering entering the property market in WA, with prices at their most affordable levels in years and lending conditions, including record low interest rates and low deposit requirements for home loans, providing excellent opportunities.

Market conditions are ripe for those considering entering the property market in WA, with prices at their most affordable levels in years and lending conditions, including record low interest rates and low deposit requirements for home loans, providing excellent opportunities.

In particular, the new home market offers added value for money for those thinking about buying a property and we have seen a strong trend toward investment in new homes and house and land packages recently which reflects that buyers have increased confidence in new stock.

To ensure the community is aware of the fantastic opportunities that are currently on offer in the new house and land market, UDIA has teamed up with the Housing Industry Association (HIA) to launch the Build Now in WA information campaign.

Build Now in WA is aimed at educating potential buyers about the benefits of building a new home while conditions are so accommodative.

There are clear signs that the WA property market is moving into ‘recovery’ mode following a sustained period of declining prices. This means housing values are at, or very close to, the bottom before they start picking up again.

If you are thinking about jumping into the market either as an owner occupier or for investment purposes, it is important to know that there are a number of benefits to buying and building a new home over purchasing an established home.

Builders can offer structural guarantees for a period of six years and a comprehensive warranty on your new home that requires less maintenance and repairs.

Many builders and developers are now offering cash rebates, fencing and landscaping packages, sustainability features and other added bonuses to buyers.

Perhaps one of the most attractive features of building your own home is the fact that you get to choose your fixtures and fittings and create the exact home that you want rather than making compromises on an existing property.

For first home buyers in particular, there is also the added bonus of the $15,000 first home owners grant for new homes and recently increased eligibility for Keystart loans.

The Build Now in WA website provides a complete rundown of the benefits to buying and building a new home in the current market and I encourage you to check it out and use the information to assist in making your property purchasing decisions: www.buildnowinwa.com.au.
